Passed Intermediate (10+2) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
D.Pharm. (Diploma in Pharmacy) is a two years course involved in the preparation, dispensing and appropriate use of medication meant for therapeutic purposes. The course provides the minimum qualification to become a Registered Pharmacist in India. There is no specialisation in D.Pharm. and the course provides the basic concepts of pharmaceutical science and is designed to prepare qualified professionals to work in hospitals, community pharmacies and pateint related pharmacy services.
Bachelor of Pharmacy is a four years program with eight semesters. Pharmacy is an art and science of preparing drugs and medicines. Bachelor of Pharmacy is one of the popular job oriented course among the science students after class 12th/Intermediate. The main course is all about the preparation, analysis and dispensing of various medicines for treating diseases.
The course provides a wide spectrum of job opportunities in public and private sector, the candidates are also entitled to venture in to their own Pharma business. Pharmacy graduate has an opportunity to work in a range of industries related to the production, manufacture, quality control & research/ formulation of medicines. Each candidate shall undergo the practical training in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing House or Laboratory or an approved Hospital/National Research Laboratory for a period of not less than 300 hours to be covered in not less than 2 month during the course period. B. Pharm degree will be awarded only after getting the training certificate from the training institute.
